IEMA: MONITORING AUTHORITY
Legislative Decree 231/2001, setting forth the “Regulations governing the administrative responsibility of judicial entities, companies and associations, even devoid of judicial status, in accordance with art. 11 of Law no. 300 of 29 September 2000”, implemented on 4 July 2001, introduced a specific form of responsibility for Authorities into our governing framework pertaining to specific crimes,
committed by Staff, Management and corporate board members, external collaborators, freelance contractors, consultants, who perform their professional services in favour of the Authority, in the interests of or for the benefit of the Authority.
With the introduction of this provision, Italian law was updated in terms of the responsibility of legal persons in accordance with undersigned international conventions.
